Collection: Handmade Wooden Pens

Pens were how I got my start in professional woodworking, about two decades ago.  A handmade pen is one of those wonderful alignments of stars where the craftsman’s skill and the natural beauty of the wood come together in a product that is both gorgeous as a work of art and also has an eminently practical daily functionality.  It’s such a joy and satisfaction for me to hear from folks for whom I made pens years ago, letting me know they use their pen every day.

Our pens feature premium high-quality mechanicals from Penn State Industries.  I hand-turn these on a lathe, sand and buff to 4000 grit, and add several coats of finish for long-lasting durability.  In addition to local hardwoods, I also use limited quantities of more exotic woods from Asia, Africa, and South America.
