Sassafras Bowl with Black Walnut Accents

This bowl is made of sassafras harvested locally off of a friend's farm and milled into lumber on my sawmill.  It features hints of sapwood and a black walnut accent stripe.  

This bowl measures 7 5/8" across and 3 1/8" high.  It is finished with all-natural, non-toxic, non-allergenic, food-safe walnut oil.  If used as food serving bowl, it should be hand washed, and if washed repeatedly, it will eventually require a renewed application of finish - walnut oil or mineral oil, just like you would for a cutting board.
