Zebrawood Legacy Bowl

This bowl was one of the last bowls made by my stepfather and woodworking mentor, Nelson Rivers, before a severe stroke ended his woodworking.  The wood is gorgeous - I believe it's zebrawood, with an ebony center accent.  

This bowl measures 8 3/8" across and 3 3/4" high.  It is finished with all-natural, non-toxic, non-allergenic, food-safe walnut oil.  If used as food serving bowl, it should be hand washed, and if washed repeatedly, it will eventually require renewed application of finish - walnut oil or mineral oil, just like you would renew a cutting board.
