Walnut-Oak Teardop Earrings

The woods I glued up for this set of earrings have special provenance.  The black walnut came from trees I harvested and milled from the organic farm where we used to live, Genesis Organic Farm.  The white oak lumber came from my good friend Steve Wahl's property.  The joining of these woods is full of rich memories of a place we loved as well as a testament to Steve's and my deep friendship.  Patterned, shaped, and sanded by hand, with all-natural hand-rubbed walnut oil finish.  

These are the teardrop style, large size, with hypo-allergenic fishhook hardware of 925 sterling silver hardware with or without gold plating, and silicone backs.  Main earring body is ~2" long by 1 3/8" wide.
