Earrings

Since the early days of human evolution, we have adorned ourselves with jewelry, clothing, body art, and other means.  On one level, such adornment might seem superfluous or vain.  But I wonder if it points to a deeper truth: the drive for creativity and beauty may be so hardwired into our souls that we will use our very bodies as the canvases for such expression. 

The earrings we make in our shop stand in that wonderful legacy of human adornment, and they have a special kind of humble aesthetic.  Rather than requiring precious stones and metals that were mined at great expense to human and ecological life, Eden's Heart Woodworks jewelry features the sustainable, God-given beauty found in wood.  We look for unique pieces – most of them harvested and milled on our own property or nearby – and find ways to uncover and accentuate the wood’s natural loveliness.
